Before joining the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in 2020, HE Eng Sharif Salim Al Olama
held several leading techno commercial positions in ADNOC, including Senior Vice President –
overseeing upstream strategy, portfolio planning, and performance management, Head of
ADNOC’s Executive Office, Senior Vice President of Onshore Gas Assets, Vice President of
ADNOC’s Southeast Fields Operations, and Vice President of Engineering and Projects.

HE Eng Al Olama’s extensive experience, especially in the oil and gas and energy industry,
includes strategical planning, engineering, project management, performance management,
investment, and operations.

HE Eng Al Olama received his bachelor’s and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Colorado in Denver, USA.
