Anders has been investing since 2012 in more than two dozen companies. He seeks to partner with exceptional founders building category-defining B2B software companies in AI and data & analytics, cybersecurity, and software infrastructure, as well as leading supply chain and manufacturing companies. Anders’ investments include companies such as LancgChain, WorkOS, Baseten, Auth0, JFrog, Alation, Dremio, and Tractian.

He holds deep respect for the entrepreneurial journey and firmly believes that exceptional founders are the key drivers behind the success of transformative software companies. He is dedicated to supporting the founders and CEOs he collaborates with, drawing on his extensive experience and Sapphire’s resources.

Prior to Sapphire Ventures, Anders was a product management and strategy executive at SAP for 12 years. While at SAP, he worked closely on emerging technologies in data and analytics, application middleware, and the acquisition of Business Objects and Sybase, among others.

Anders was born in Trondheim, Norway and has lived in Paris, South Dakota, and California. He has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of South Dakota.
